Nelson Mandela School: Cricket Project

PROJECT SUMMARY

The Nelson Mandela School Cricket project consists of a weekly, 1"hour long cricket coaching session
delivered by two professional, qualified cricket coaches in Nelson Mandela School. Sessions take place
every Friday after school (3.30pm-4.30pm) from the 26th February to 16th July (17 sessions in total),
and are attended by pupils from year 5 and 6, both male and female.

The aim of the project is to:

- Deliver professional,top quality cricket sessions on a weekly basis
- Improve the cricket skills and techniques of pupils
- Inspire and motivate pupils to play cricket more often
- Improve the physical health of pupils by supporting them to exercise more
- Improve the mental well being of pupils
- Encourage pupils to have fun and to enjoy extra curricular activities
