Health Promotion & Family Support

This team works in partnership with Primary Care Trust professionals to provide culturally appropriate support and information to local families. It supports and befriends pregnant women and mothers and encourages and facilitates access to services and support. It also develops a range of specialist support services including smoking cessation, breast-feeding, nutrition and safety. The team has a remit to deliver services which support parents and children across all four tiers of the City’s Family Support Strategy.

The Health Promotion and Family Support Team believe:
