Breastfeeding Drop-In Group

The Breastfeeding Drop-in group is a service aimed at mothers and pregnant women. This group will support anyone wishing to breastfeed their babies and also includes sessions on weaning which are run by the Health Support workers from the PCT.

Volunteers who are trained as peer supporters will offer support and information in the group which runs on Mondays from 10am till 12noon during term-time only. The volunteers are all mothers who have fed their own babies and they have been trained by National Childbirth Trust(NCT).

Balsall Heath Childrens Centre are pleased to offer this service in partnership with NCT.

We also have free breast pumps for women to facilitate breastfeeding. These are available from the Health Promotion and Family Support Workers.
