ESOL for Health

ESOL for Health is a class for pregnant women or women with babies under 12 months old. The programme helps mothers to communicate and make choices for themselves. The sessions looks at the journey of labour and visits with professionals, covering questions they may come across.

The sessions take place on Mondays in the Children’s Centre between 1.00-3.00pm during term-time only. Women who attend must have a basic knowledge of English before being registered onto the course, once registered an initial assessment is done to find out what level of the course each woman will start at. All three levels run at the same time.
