Junior Playschemes

St. Paul’s Venture runs two playschemes each school holiday except Christmas. Our main site, off Clifton Road has been running playschemes for over 25 years! Our scheme is for local children aged 5 – 11, and are open access scheme which means that children can come and go as they please as long as they let the staff know and they have their parents consent. We also have children that attend with assisted access which mean that they are brought and collected by their parents. This is important for vulnerable children and for children with additional needs or disabilities. We welcome enquiries from parents who have children with disabilities. To ensure we can meet their needs we ask parents to complete a ‘Passport to Play’ booklet. We want to find out as much as we can about your child so that we can accommodate them within our setting. We are committed to seek additional funding for support to become fully inclusive.

We are open from 10am – 3.30pm and make a small charge. The children can enjoy a full range of play activities, sports & games and go on organised trips out. Our staff are all qualified and experienced or they are training to gain qualifications.

Our other playscheme runs from Calvary Church Hall in Oxford Road, Moseley. This has restricted access. We can accept children that are aged 3 – 11(but are unable to accommodate children in wheel chairs at the moment as the building is an old Victorian one and hasn’t got a ramp to gain access.
