BHAD

The Balsall Heath Archive and Documentation project (BHAD) was established to collect and store images and words which record the change and regeneration of Balsall Heath and surrounding areas. The intention of the archive is that it should be used as a tool for education and for stimulating both participation and discussion about the area’s past and future.

The In Good Faith project seeks to document the extent of religious beliefs in Balsall Heath and surrounding areas. Through exploring the religious communities of the area the project aims to improve everyone’s quality of life by reducing fears, suspicions and rivalries based on religious identities. By promoting interest in the different faiths, the project endeavours to encourage greater understanding of the cultural traditions and convictions which people hold.

This project would not have been possible without the assistance of Awards For All who provided the funding and the encouragement and contributions made by the faith groups themselves.
