This month the Balsall Heathan wishes St. Paul’s Community Development Trust Happy 30th Birthday as the organisation holds a series of special celebratory events. Joining the celebration schools around Balsall Heath have been helping the organisation to fill a giant birthday card with birthday messages and signatures. While St. Paul’s celebrates 30 years of working with the community the government makes Balsall Heath a member of a select few by giving the area vanguard status. This special status acknowledges the work that the people of Balsall Heath have done to improve their area over the years. It is hoped this new title along with dedicated civil servants tasked with helping the new vanguard areas will help future projects by cutting through bureaucratic red tape.
