History Society announces 2009/2010 meetings details

We warmly welcome visitors and new members to our meetings which are held at 7.00p.m. (for a 7:30 start) on the last Thursday of each month at St. Paul’s Venture*, Malvern St, off Clifton Rd, Balsall Heath. The annnual subscription for becoming a member stands at £5 and the membership year runs from April. Visitors are always welcome.

December 17th: Members’ Evening and Christmas Social

January 28th: Chamberlain Vs Mosley: The Ladywood Election Battle (Chris Sutton)

February 25th: The History of Balsall Heath (Val Hart)

March 25th: The History of Civil Registration and Register “Funnies” (John Yates)

April 29th: There’s more to a needle than meets the eye (Jo-Ann Gloger)

May 27th: AGM followed by The Ledsam Street Dynamite Conspiracy (Chris Sutton)

June 24th: Regaining The Heights (music) (Margaret Handford)

July 29th: Kings Norton Restoration Project (guided visit – charge of £1.50)
