This month the Heathan reports on how local residents and community organisations have been brought together to tackle the area wide problem of increased litter. With local residents continuously struggling with illegal parking in Balsall Heath the Heathan analyses some of the official statistics on parking tickets to see how traffic controlling measures measure up to the job.

On a lighter note many of you will have noticed that this year’s Balsall Heath Carnival on July 2nd at Pickwick Park rapidly approaches and will find a brief outline for the days schedule on the back page. For those of you who yearn for the bright lights and the fame that goes with them there is still a chance to perform on the main stage. For those who want to be in the procession, book a stall or find out more contact the Carnival coordinator on 464 4376.
