Staff at the Balsall Heath Children’s Toy Library are over the moon having received a prestigious award. The National Association of Toy and Leisure Libraries presented the Quality Play Matters Award when the team completed the seven sections of the assessment criteria.
Quality Counts
The award is a quality assurance scheme which is completed over two years. It provides users and professionals with an indication of the level of service to be provided. During the time it has taken to gain the standard the team, led by Katalya Moxham, Toy Library Development Worker, has developed a significant portfolio focussing on different areas such as, book keeping, planning and client satisfaction. Katalya said of the award, “We are absolutely thrilled to have received this award and will be really proud to have it on display”. Rukhsana Rahman, fellow team member went on to say, “This helps to show how much planning and maintenance goes on behind the scenes. We are all so pleased”.
Celebration
The team will be attending the NATLL Annual General Meeting and Conference in London to receive the award in October and plan to celebrate the achievement in style.
