Girls Buddy Group
During the first week of the summer holidays 5 buddy’s come together from Swanshurst, Selly Park & Moseley. At the same time they were helping 5 year 6’s who are going to be starting year 7. We were helping them be brave & happy starting off into another school. We did this by getting creative with them by making parts of how they are feeling & what problems they think they feel face once they start secondary school. So to make them happy we told them the good points of starting secondary. School Rules!!!
The girls also spent time exploring their fears or challenges they felt they had, going into secondary school and their Buddy was able to share things about the school and alleviate some of the worries. They made “Aspiration Trees” which showed some of the goals the girls have set themselves and they worked together on presentations & articles for the newsletter.
