Volunteer Opportunities

Why Volunteer?Kula_on_tv

Volunteering is an excellent way to gain work experience, give something back to your community, develop new skills, build up your CV, make new friends and enjoy new experiences. We warmly welcome volunteers at St. Pauls and believe they have a very valuable contribution to make to our work in all departments.

St. Paul’s Volunteering Scheme

We offer lots of opportunities for volunteers of all ages and from different walks of life. There are many opportunities within the different departments of St. Paul’s and other local community organisations. We will try our best to find a placement that fits in with your availability and ensure that it is compatible with your own interests, skills and goals.

All volunteer placements are subject to suitable references and CRB check, which St. Paul’s Personnel team will process.

Once this is back all volunteers must attend compulsory training in Safeguarding, Equality, Data Protection and Health and Safety.
There is also the opportunity to gain OCN qualifications. Each month there is a volunteer training session; recent ones have included energy saving advice, confidence building, citizen journalism and a tour of the BBC.
