Daytime activities in the holidays

During the Easter, summer and half term holidays, we run daytime activities for young people aged 10 to 14 years old. Each activities day costs £1.00 per young person, this includes use of all facilities and local trips, but additional excursions will cost extra. Holiday activities include a variety of sports, music workshops and art activities. Young people over the age of 13 will also have the opportunity to gain a free NOCN (National Open College Network) qualification in Sports or Teamwork, during the summer programme.

We provide activity programmes during the summer, half term breaks and after school for young people aged 11 – 19. The main activities are centred around the Youth Base where pool, table tennis and other games are available in between structured trips and workshops. The activities take place Monday – Friday 10am – 4.30pm * Indoor Arts & Crafts e.g. pottery, glass painting, printing t-shirts, Producing music tracks using the computer as well as keyboards and guitar and drum machines, you can also sing or MC!, Creating CD covers using digital photography, Sports eg. Volley ball, Uni hockey, Rounders, Cricket, Badminton and Football, Teambuilding opportunities, team leading and refereeing, Circus Skills, Outdoor Pursuits e.g climbing, skating and BMX skills. Trips include Bowling, Laser quest, A- Maze- In-Space.

We run holiday schemes for four weeks in the summer, Easter and all the half term holidays. These are open to young people in the Balsall Heath area aged 10-14. We offer a range of activities such as arts and crafts, sports, t-shirt designing, music and dance workshops etc. We also have weekly trips, which have included theme parks, iceskating, bowling, cinema, adventure playgrounds. The cost is £1 per day plus any extra for trips.

We have adopted a healthy eating attitude to our lunch times, whereby we know can offer healthy lunches at a cost of £2 per day or alternatively young people can bring their own packed lunch.

Presentations are held at the end of each round or holiday where certificates and trophies are awarded for achievement, participation, effort and skills development.
