Youth Base

The Youth Base is a centre for young people aged between 10 and 19 years old. We offer a welcoming space to meet up and engage in a variety of positive activities. The Youth Base building is fully equipped for a range of youth work activities including

• arts & crafts area.
• computer zone, including internet access and Wii console.
• chill out area suitable for holding focused issue based sessions and discussions.
• games zone, including pool tables, table football, air hockey and table football.

Where is Youth Base?

The Youth Base is situated in the grounds of the old Clifton Junior School on Clifton Road (now Balsall Heath Initiative Centre) Balsall Heath.

Whats on at Youth Base?

Evening Clubs

There are two weekly evening youth clubs that are run from the Youth Base. Each club has a term-time programme appropriate to the age of the group. The programmes include educational work on relevant issues eg. drugs awareness and sexual health education, sports sessions and arts and crafts activities. The cost of each session is 50p.

• Tuesday – Senior Youth Club, 6.30 -8.30pm (ages 14 – 19 yrs)
• Wednesday -Junior Club, 5.00 – 7.30pm (ages 10 – 14 yrs)
