St Paul’s Community Development Trust has been the lead and accountable body for the hub site at Malvern Street since its origins as a Sure Start in the early 2000’s.

The centres worked closely together over the years and this was further developed when the introduction of locality working commenced in 2011 bringing Springfield Children’s Centre and Muath Children’s Centre into the partnership.

Now we move into a new partnership and way of working as Children’s Centres.  A new Early Years and Wellbeing service for children and families aims to make sure every child in Birmingham – from before birth to age five – get an equal chance to have the best start in life.

With Birmingham Forward Steps, health visitors and children’s centres have formed an integrated service to provide friendly advice and support, working together in a wide range of community locations.

Forming the Hall Green District:

St Paul’s Children’s Centres have a hub site at Malvern.

Springfield Children’s Centre have a hub site at Springfield Road.

A number of community venues are also used throughout the district delivering services to local families.
